For a decade I’ve joked that I didn’t go to “HR School” and that I am not your average HR Business Partner/Leadership Coach. It took me time to recognize that this is one of my greatest strengths and it contributes heavily to the power + influence I bring to coaching.
Early in my career, my eyes were opened during a bi-annual review when a senior leader said… “You’d be great in Human Resources.” Truth be told I was not only shocked, but also offended at the time, (particularly because I was in a Sales Management Development Program!)
It took me about a year to realize what a gift it was that someone shared a vision of my talents and how I could use them to contribute to the world. That leader spotted strength within and that set me on a path that would change my life. I fell into “HR” in 2011 and once I found that zone of strength and impact, I couldn’t look back.
I’ve had the privilege of working with and coaching leaders at all levels and within every function within organizations. From executives at ezCater (leading online marketplace & tech platform designed for food for work), and Toast (cloud-based digital tech for restaurants), to leaders at Gallo ($5 billion dollar industry leader in wine & spirits), and by prioritizing continual learning (Kates Kesler Org Design, ATD Facilitation, Lean Six Sigma, graduate level courses in Organizational Leadership) I gleaned expertise and diversified my perspective. Although senior leaders have a special place in my portfolio, some of my favorite conversations are those with early career/emerging leaders, as they find their footing and explore and embrace their potential.
In 2018, I began using CliftonStrengths as a way to efficiently gain clarity regarding a client’s individual “Talent DNA” and I still incorporate the tool as a catalyst to coaching. I was certified by Gallup in 2020; I am so passionate about this tool that I use the assessment not only with clients, but also with family and friends.
I prioritize depth, radical candor, and authenticity when building relationships with clients. I truly believe leaders need a trustworthy space where they can integrate work & life and I know that’s one of the reasons they invest in an executive coach. Development is incredibly effective with a holistic lens.
I hope you’ve found this site because you have a personal relationship with me already (let’s pick up where we left off!) or because someone you respect referred you to me.
